Learning Design Consultant
Kim Vosicky came to WIDS in 1993 bringing over 12 years of experience in communications and writing. She received her degree in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri and began her career as a public relations coordinator for a governmental relations firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There she interfaced with business, industry and government writing everything from speeches, to press releases, to articles for various media platforms including television, radio, news and magazine. Her other career interface included work as a continuing education instructor for a private college in Kansas City, Missouri. Upon her move to Wisconsin, Kim continued her career as a writing consultant for the Wisconsin Technical College System where she began to develop performance-based curriculum for Marketing and Small Business Entrepreneur. In 1993 she assisted WIDS in the development of the Instructional Design and Planning Study Guide and User’s Manual.
To date, she is a learning design consultant who has served as a writer and consultant on a variety of projects such as the Army JROTC, the Wisconsin Manufacturing Core Curriculum, Wisconsin Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IE/ME), various statewide curriculum alignment projects in Allied Health, Career and Technical Education and general education, both for the face-to-face and online learning environments. More recently Kim has been able to focus on her consulting work on the development of online learning for over nursing, EMT and EMS and Marine Design curricula. She works closely with subject matter experts to develop engaging, interactive learning experiences that embed multiple resources for an optimal student learning experience. Her energy is evident as a WIDS software trainer and consultant, where she has walked side-by-side several clients through software implementation and curriculum design. As well, she has developed all of the WIDS software demonstration videos found on www.wids.org and facilitates many WIDS Webinar presentations to existing and prospective clients.
