Tessa Campbell brings over ten years of teaching and instructional design experience to WIDS. She began her career in education as a high school science teacher in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. In this role, she shared her love of science with her students, was hired to mentor new science teachers and participated in district curriculum alignment projects. In 2008, Tessa shifted her career to the Wisconsin Technical College System, as she became the Instructional Designer at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.  Not only did she train faculty how to develop and revise curriculum using WIDS, she trained staff on implementing effective instructional techniques; assisted in college-wide assessment and accreditation activities; taught instructors how to develop quality online courses; and coordinated the implementation of WIDS curriculum management application. Tessa was an adjunct faculty instructor for five years and has presented at college in-services, the WIDS International User Group Conference, and the Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning.  

 

As a consultant and trainer, Tessa offers instructional design, teaching and mentoring expertise. She’s also an expert on the WIDS curriculum management application. She holds a Master’s in Education-Professional Development degree from UW-LaCrosse, Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Broadfield Science-Secondary Education from UW-Superior, and a Certified Faculty Developer credential through LEARN.
