After retiring from her position as WIDS director in January 2013, Judy continues to work on a part-time basis as WIDS advisor. From 1992-2012, she served WIDS director and led the WIDS Team of instructional designers and software developers. As a frontline learning designer, Judy has worked as a senior consultant with education, military, and business clients to plan and implement performance-based learning design projects and initiatives. She has presented frequently throughout her career at national conferences and workshops and is an acclaimed speaker and thoughtful leader.
During her 37 years with the Wisconsin Technical College System, Judy managed program and curriculum development, facilitated numerous DACUM occupational analyses, founded one of Wisconsin’s first tech prep programs, served as associate dean of general education, initiated her college’s first distance learning program, developed a community outreach and continuing education program, and taught communication and sociology.
Judy earned a master’s degree in continuing and adult education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a bachelor of art’s degree with majors in economics and speech from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin.
