Instructional Designer/Multimedia Developer
Annette helps WIDS clients put course content online for their learners. From animations and manipulative objects to streaming video, Annette understands how to engage learners. She revels in developing interactive scenarios, learning games, and creative assessment activities. Working with a client’s existing classroom content or with new content, Annette brings a variety of skills to the task. Her extensive background in writing and web development, coupled with a solid background in adult learning theory and cognitive science allow her to develop creative, performance-based elearning content.
As an elearning evangelist, Annette is a frequent presenter at elearning developer conferences. Annette has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining the WIDS Team in 2006, Annette developed interactive math software for the Wisconsin Technical College System. Annette also worked as a writer and video producer for an educational publishing company and as a journalist.
